Nearby beaches are: Playa Junquillal (7 minutes away!), Playa Avellanas, Negra, Frijolar, Lagarto, and many others! Tamarindo Beach Town is just 25 kilometers away..You have the best of the beaches surrounding you!



Avellanas Beach has been declared one of the top spots for surfing in the country, but in almost any of our beautiful surrounding beaches you can practice this exciting activity; either if you are just taking your first steps – we can hook you up with some really cool surfing lessons – or if you are a pro, you will have the surfing time of your life!



Watersports such as scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and fishing are available, take a chance to do one of these activities and explore the most beautiful things the ocean has to offer. 

Turtle Nesting


In Ostional, just 30 minutes away from Angels Ecolodge, you can see the turtle nesting or just relaxing at the beach. During the months of October through March, see the Endangered Leather Back Turtles or during the months of May through August, the smaller Ridley Turtles lay their eggs. They seem to prefer well moon-light nights at high tide. Also, in Junquillal some turtles aproach the beach, which is why some organizations have started a Turtle Protection program. 

Canopy/Horseback Riding


Right in Hacienda la Norma, you can find tons of fun, either if it is Canopy or Horseback riding, we offer zip lining 11 cables, giving you an exhilarating experience. If you don’t like the heights you can try the horseback riding or a guided tour of mountain biking. There is definetely something of everyoneWe offer YOU the BEST prices in the area!



Near Angels Ecolodge you can enjoy doing quite a few types of fishing such as Deep-sea, Coastal and Surf fishing, where you can find several types of species like the Tuna, Red Snapper, Rock Fish or Dorado. Remember, fish must be back at the Ocean after you finish up!
