We are nestled in the immersive, peaceful nature of the Guanacaste region in Costa Rica. Our property is strategically located to offer a perfectly balanced experience: the absolute privacy and silence of a mountain sanctuary, combined with quick access to both coastal life and full urban convenience.

  • Beaches & Coastal Vibe: The vibrant beach town of Tamarindo, along with world-class coastal spots like Playa Avellanas and Playa Negra, are just a short drive away, making day trips and surf lessons seamless for your group.
  • Essential Services & Medical Safety: For your total peace of mind as a host, the nearby town of Santa Cruz is just minutes away and fully equipped with modern medical clinics, hospital services, pharmacies, major banks, supermarkets, and any emergency or commercial infrastructure your group could ever need.

Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia (LIR) is just 1 hour away from our property. This airport is highly convenient as it receives numerous direct daily flights from major hubs across the United States, Canada, and several European cities.

When it comes to guest arrivals, we are incredibly flexible and offer three tailored options to fit your planning style:

  • As an Add-on: We can arrange reliable private shuttle transportation for your group for an additional cost.
  • All-Inclusive Package: We can bundle the total airport transfer costs directly into your final retreat venue pricing.

Note on alternative airports: Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José is about a 4-hour drive from us. If any of your guests choose to fly into SJO, we can absolutely coordinate long-distance private transportation for them as well.

Yes. We specialize in exclusive property buyouts for groups seeking absolute privacy. Booking Hacienda Ángeles exclusively ensures 100% privacy for your group, allowing you to hold your sessions, workshops, and rituals without any outside distractions.

For smaller, more intimate groups, we also offer partial buyouts with a minimum booking of 5 bungalows. Please note that a 4-night minimum stay applies to all group reservations.

We offer a mix of private and shared bungalows and spacious villas designed to perfectly balance community comfort with personal privacy.

Our 10-bungalow + 2 villa inventory consists of:

  • 2 King Bungalows: Featuring 1 King bed and a private bathroom.
  • 3 Shared Bungalows: Each features 2 independent small bedrooms and 1 shared bathroom.
  • 5 Classic Bungalows: Featuring 2 double/queen beds and a private bathroom. For larger groups, we seamlessly add a third comfortable bed to these spacious rooms.
  • 2 Independent Villas: We additionally have two villas on the property, which we typically utilize as premium upgrades for guests or staff looking for ultimate space and privacy. They work wonderfully if you choose the full private package and need to expand your capacity, or as an upscale option for your or your VIP guests.
  • 2 additional Staff rooms: for organizer or facilitator stay and their staff

Capacity & Flexibility: Our property is highly versatile and can host anywhere from 8 up to a maximum of 28 guests (including the use of our villas), depending on whether your program requires intimate single occupancy or shared configurations.

Host & Staff Accommodations: This capacity is flexible enough to include dedicated space for you as the retreat organizer and your support staff, ensuring your team is comfortably accommodated on-site.

Our Villas & Pricing: Please note that our initial base costs are calculated using our private bungalows. Our premium villas are quoted separately, making them the perfect add-on for larger groups needing to reach our maximum capacity, or for guests looking to pay extra for an elevated layer of privacy.

You will have direct communication with the owner from day one. We don’t believe in rigid corporate protocols. Our dedicated on-site support team is here to assist you before, during, and after your retreat—helping you coordinate local logistics, daily schedules, and any unexpected needs so you can focus entirely on your guests.

Our beautiful open-air Yoga Shala is fully prepared for movement, breathwork, and meditation. We provide high-quality yoga mats, blocks, straps, and cushions. If your retreat requires specialized equipment, just let us know in advance and we can help source it.

We offer absolute culinary freedom. You can opt for our on-site restaurant service with custom menus tailored to your group’s dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, etc.), or you can rent full kitchen access if you prefer to bring your own private chef.

Absolutely. Our unique location offers a balanced experience: the peaceful environment of our mountain surroundings with quick access to the authentic energy of nearby beaches like Avellanas, Playa Negra, and Tamarindo, where your group can enjoy local restaurants and ocean activities.

Yes, absolutely. Think of us as your on-the-ground co-creators. We know that a truly memorable retreat balances inner work with the vibrant energy of Costa Rica, so we are here to help you seamlessly curate both on-site and off-site experiences.

We offer a wide range of options that can be booked a la carte, customized to your itinerary, or bundled directly into a tailored package for your group:

  • On-Site Wellness Rituals: We can connect you with trusted local practitioners for sacred Cacao Ceremonies, transformative Sound Healing, deep Breathwork, and expert Yoga/Meditation instruction right inside our open-air Maloka.
  • Off-Site Guanacaste Adventures: We handle the logistics for incredible local excursions, including surf lessons on the Pacific waves of nearby Avellanas or Playa Negra, magical Turtle Nesting and Release experiences, day trips to Tamarindo, hikes at Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, River Rafting, or immersive cultural tours like a local Pottery masterclass and Coffee/Chocolate plantation tours.

To formally secure your preferred dates on our calendar, we require a signed formal venue contract along with a initial non-refundable deposit. 

  • The Formal Contract: We will provide a comprehensive contract detailing all terms, capacities, and venue policies to ensure both parties are fully protected and aligned before you begin marketing the experience to your guests.
  • The Booking Deposit: The initial deposit secures your exclusive hold on the property (or your minimum bungalow selection) for your selected dates.
  • Flexible Payment Schedule: Because we know it takes time to market and fill your retreat, the remaining balance is broken down into structured, milestones-based payments leading up to your arrival date.

Since we only host one private group contract at a time to ensure complete focus and exclusivity, dates are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact us directly to receive our standard contract template and discuss available dates for your upcoming program.

We highly recommend securing your dates 6 to 12 months in advance.  Because we operate on a highly exclusive basis—hosting only one group at a time to guarantee absolute privacy—our peak season calendar fills up rapidly.

  • Optimal Marketing Timeline: Launching your retreat 6 to 12 months out gives you ample time to promote the experience, build momentum, and comfortable collect deposits from your own community.
  • Seamless Logistics Coordination: Securing your contract early allows us to collaborate closely on custom menus, local excursion scheduling, and transportation routing well ahead of your arrival.

  • All-In-One Logistics: Because we can coordinate your group’s airport shuttles, local beach excursions, adventure tours, and custom catering options, you don’t have to spend hours sourcing unknown third-party vendors. We handle the local execution so you can focus entirely on your guests.
  • A Welcoming, Intimate Base: Our flexible booking structure (starting at a minimum of just 5 bungalows) allows you to launch a highly successful, profitable retreat with a smaller, intimate group before scaling up to our maximum capacity of 28 guests.

We provide reliable, high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi accessible throughout the property, including the common areas and accommodations, ensuring seamless connection if you or your guests need to work or stream.
